Eric Palm

President, American Water Resources

Eric Palm is President of Homeowner Services, a market-based subsidiary of American Water providing affordable protection from unexpected repair costs for home-based systems and appliances. The Homeowner Services entity consists of American Water Resources, and, as of June 2018, Pivotal Home Solutions. Both businesses provide a range of home warranty products for customers across the country, including protection plans for water and sewer lines, home appliances, and heating and cooling systems and serve over one and a half million customers with a combined total of nearly three million products across the country.

Palm has spent the last 15 years in the home services industry having introduced and managed protection plan programs in both Canada and the U.S. He has worked with leaders in residential new construction on innovative mechanical system solutions and led national retail HVAC and plumbing contractor networks. His most recent role at Direct Energy was as head of the company’s solar operations.

Earlier in his career, Palm’s leadership roles included those in agri-business, as a co-founder of a John Deere dealer group that is now one of the largest in North America and also with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where he recently retired as a Colonel in the Army Reserve after having led units and operations in Germany, Panama and Iraq.

Palm has a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. John’s University in Minnesota and a master’s degree in international management from the University of Denver.
